The Strawbees team make smart toys that help little humans become big inventors. It all began in 2011, when inventor Erik Thorstensson discovered that the plastic waste from IKEA’s lamp shade production could be used to create simple connectors that attach to straws and cardboard, which later came to be known as Strawbees.
Several prototypes later, Strawbees was launched as a successful Kickstarter in 2014. The media loved the toy for it’s simple design and endless building possibilities.
Today Strawbees, with it’s patent pending system architecture is already a best seller in several retail chains, due to it’s unique mechanical and building properties. It also makes for a great product within education.
The team at Strawbees are still new and fresh and are working hard to offer their customers new and exciting products by constantly innovating.
