Bok Bok B'Geeeerrrrkkkkkk (that's chicken speak for "Hello and welcome")...
Meet Michelle, a Ballarat based mum of two littles who, under the label Bok Bok B'Gerk, creates eco-friendly laser cut jewellery that is both beautiful and inspiring.
Michelle was super creative when she was younger, but that side of became a bit stifled in her teens (can anyone relate?) but since having had kids, she has allowed herself to get back in touch with that creative side. Michelle believes that expressing yourself through the art of making things is beneficial to the soul... and a lot cheaper than therapy.
Most of her inspiration comes from things the kids ask her to draw, or from things she daydreams about. She is most creative in her spare time, but as a mum finds that in limited supply (look out, I'm relating again), so she tries to do regular creative activities to keep those juices flowing. She even says that not all of her ideas for designs make it in to production as some are just a little too crazy for public viewing!
Michelle's range of unique hand-painted jewellery is made with the eco-friendly wood of the Alderwood Tree and is designed and made right here in Australia and we are super excited at Hugs for Kids to have it here and support another Aussie family business.
